2017 End of Summer Fayre and Parade

Perivale End of Summer Fayre & Parade 2017

Perivale’s End of Summer Fair and Parade 2017 has been a glowing success, putting this beautiful little enclave of Ealing firmly on the map. Now in its third successive year, the fayre has grown into a major calendar event for locals. Organised by a small and hardy group of locals, who go by the name of the ‘Perivale Festivals Committee’ the aim has always been to have a party for and by the people of Perivale.
Starting with a mile-long parade down Bilton Road, residents were alerted by the sound of roaring Harley Davidsons, the pounding beat of the Dhol 2 Dhol drummers and vintage sounds from the array of original 50s and 60s vehicles, with community groups, dancers, stilt walkers and acrobats beckoning the crowd.
There was plenty to do at the event: live bands; Punch and Judy; community stalls, a climbing wall, skatepark, archery and funfair rides kept people busy, with pony rides and even a petting zoo for the animal lovers. An array of food stalls kept people fed and watered, local caterers provided Polish, Sri Lankan and Halal cuisine, a well stocked bar and a barbecue.
The 2017 Perivale End of Summer Fayre & Parade has been made possible with thanks to the National Lottery Fund and a number of generous businesses based in Perivale.
